Finishing your hardwood floor with Osmo Range

Osmo Polyx Oil Clear Satin - 3032 & 3062

Osmo Polyx®-Oil is a professional, clear, satin-matt (3032) or matt (3062) floor finish for all wooden floors (solid wood floors, laminated flooring, oriented strand-board etc.). Can also be used on cork floors and for terracotta and other unglazed tiles. It is also well suited for the treatment of furniture surfaces (i. e. table tops).
The Osmo Polyx®-Oil surface is extremely tough and hardwearing. It is water-repellent and dirt-resistant. The finish is resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water etc. when dry according to DIN 68861 - 1C (German Industrial Norm).
Dirt can easily be removed without trace. Renovating, even partially, is easy. Just clean and re-treat worn areas: No sanding, no repair marks, no removal of previous Polyx®-Oil finish.
Osmo Polyx®-Oil is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes. It is micro-porous and does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Therefore it is an ideal treatment even in rooms with high humidity.
Osmo Polyx®-Oil is very easy to apply: Only two thin coats no primer!). It is of a creamy consistence (thixotropic). The satin-matt (3032) or matt (3062) sheen can be intensified by slight polishing. Grain and texture of the wood are accentuated. A wooden floor which has been treated with Osmo Polyx®-Oil will become more beautiful and valuable with age.

Applications

Apply with a brush or roller

Oswax is ready to use - you don't need to thin it, simply stir it well.

Apply the 1st coat thinly, thoroughly and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 8-10 hours ensuring good ventilation.

Apply the 2nd coat as you did the first - this coat will flow much easier than the first. Again allow 8-10 hours for drying and ventilate well.

When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine.

Cean your brushes or rollers using white spirit or benzene-free brush cleaner.

OSMO WOOD PROTECTOR - 4006

Osmo Wood Protector is an unique preservative wood wax primer. It is based on natural oils and waxes and produced entirely without biocides and therefore absolutely safe for indoor use. It is extremely water-repellent.
This unique product offers - without employing biocides - the ideal possibility to protect indoor (and also outdoor) wood when there is a danger of blue stain and mildew i.e. pine and spruce floors and panelling in rooms and areas with high humidity and high temperatures which particularly further the growth of these wood pests.
Osmo Wood Protector is thin bodied and can therefore also be applied by dipping.
If possible it should be applied on all sides of the wood and requires a finishing coat within 7-10 days.

Usage

All interior wood, especially floors made from wood tending to attract blue stain (i. e. pine), window frames, wood in bathrooms etc.
Outdoor wood where a biocidefree impregnation is particularly desired: children’s playground equipment, sandpits etc.

Osmo Wood Protector is ready to use. Please do not thin. Stir well. Apply generously - if possible on all sides of the wood. Leave approx. 24 hours to dry, ensuring good ventilation.
Then apply finishing coat.
